Meet the Doctor

 Dr. Vijay Munagala brings with him fine skills and 18 years of experience in clinical dentistry, research and health promotion. He is known for his friendly personality and gentle touch, and maintains extremely high clinical standards of care.

Dr. Munagala graduated with honors from dental school 1997 and has a Masters’ Degree in Public Health from the University of Texas, Houston. He obtained his clinical license by examination at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. 

Dr. Munagala is also a volunteer dentist at the Veterans and free dental camps for the underserved populations at the annual public health camps in the area. He also consults at the non-profit La Clinica centers in Alameda and Contra Costa counties . Dr. Munagala also assists in clinical instruction and teaching  the dental students / residents for UCSF and UOP dental programs at the public health clinics and camps. 

Dr. Munagala has numerous hours of additional training in Dental Implants and keeps up with the latest dental advances in dental education. He is a proud member of the Southern Alameda County Dental Association, American Dental association and California Dental association.

Dr. Munagala is married to his wonderful wife, Lata and they share a nine year old son with whom they love  to cook, travel and discover a new part of the Bay Area every weekend.
